It is a wireless connectivity technology for building devices. Space Lock locks, keypads, sensors and the Space Gate 4 WLZB gateway all use it.
Every device talks to the hub
The Space system works in a star topology: every device talks directly to the hub, and devices are added (included) next to the hub. Range: up to 100 m in open space, per chipset manufacturer (Silicon Labs) and Z-Wave Alliance data; real range depends on the building.
