Smart AI Locks
Space Lock LIGHT
A lock for hotels and offices: card, PIN, app or key. Up to 100 m range.
Optimised for hotels
Operating parameters tuned for the longest runtime per charge. Biometrics switch on only on request (#0), with no passive scanning of passers-by, which supports GDPR compliance. Face recognition, palm and vein scan and QR codes are disabled by default and become available after activation of the MAX licence (upgrade to MAX).
Four ways in
MIFARE card, PIN code, app and mechanical key. Works with the KW Hotel reception software and simple API integrations.
Optional access method, available on order
Bluetooth 6.0 (BLE) optional, on order
An optional Bluetooth 6.0 (BLE) module, available on order, adds two functions. Hands-free automatic opening: the user carries a wristband or clip with a BLE beacon, and when it comes within the set distance of the lock or Pad, the device opens the passage by itself, according to the assigned permissions and schedule; every opening is logged. This also suits autonomous devices such as robots, AGVs and vehicles that need the right to pass or drive through. Direct connection: the SPACE BMS Manager mobile app communicates with the lock or Pad locally over Bluetooth, without internet.
Accessibility
- Voice messages are an accessibility feature: “door open”, “door locked”, “no permission” and “low battery, replace the battery” give blind people, older people and children clear information, not just a light.
- After activation of the MAX licence, face recognition and palm scan let blind users and wheelchair users open the door without touching anything or aiming at a reader.
- With the optional Bluetooth 6.0 module, the door opens as an authorised guest approaches with a wristband or clip, also on a wheelchair – useful in accessible hotel rooms.
- Card, PIN code, app or mechanical key: everyone chooses the method that is easiest for them, and older people do not need to carry a key.
- Dementia and children: here control matters more than automatic opening. Permissions and schedules decide which doors open and when, and relatives or carers see every opening in the event history in the app.
